In the Sculptural Bench, carved from wood, layers are applied in the finishing phase, where the impregnation of deep reddish-black pigment and hand-brushed lacquer, applied layer by layer, gives the work its intensity. With each layer brushed by hand, the satin lacquer reveals the hand-carved details. The solid wood is then juxtaposed with the translucent glass volume.
