Adopting an archetypal shape that reappears throughout the studio’s work, the Orvalho Stool begins as a solid block, carved into a perfect T-shape. The stepped cuts along the sides provide the playground to create layered perspectives of the interaction between the grid and vine, exposing different facets as the viewer moves - wood grain, ornamentation, structure.
